Williamsburg Landing

A Case Study

How Williamsburg Landing used WeCare Connect to gather real-time resident feedback

Situation

Nestled on 137 wooded acres along the banks of College Creek in Williamsburg, Virginia, Williamsburg Landing is a premier, not-for-profit Life Plan Community, serving Williamsburg and surrounding areas since 1985.

Providing independent living, home health care, assisted living, separate and secured memory support, rehabilitative services, skilled nursing care and long-term care all on one campus, it is imperative for Williamsburg Landing to keep a real-time pulse on resident experience so they can be responsive and take action when needed.

Anonymous surveys provided a general sense of community pulse, but did little to identify individual resident issues and concerns - for that, they decided, a non-anonymous, confidential survey is the best approach.

How We Helped

In late 2020, Williamsburg Landing instituted resident surveys for over 600 residents achieving nearly 75% completion rates. Since deployment they have received and resolved over 500 individual resident concerns, that they otherwise would not have been aware of.

They continue to be blown away at the amount of real- time data they have at their fingertips, compared to their previous anonymous survey solution.\

Not only do they use this data to improve their residents’ lives, but also in marketing efforts to let people know about the great community they have built and why residents love living there.

“We love WeCare Connect. We are so glad we went with a non‐anonymous survey. This allows us to track trends and responses and know who said what, so we can improve their experience living in our community. We have used other vendors in the past and we have access to much more data with WeCare Connect that we can act on, than we did with our previous vendor.”
